The Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce has rejected Thorold’s bid to have their charter back.
After months of negotiating, boards voted unanimously to deny the request in returning the charter back to the Committee of Concern.
The COC was brought together by Thorold Chamber President Terry Dow following a failed attempt to get an LCBO in downtown Thorold and the attempt to close the city's high school.
Thorold Chamber merged into the St. Catharines-Thorold Chamber of Commerce in 2006 and handed over their charter.
Last November they moved into the GNCC.
