The Ontario NDP has launched a public campaign to get MPP's Back to Work.

The party has started a Facebook page and Twitter feed encouraging people to get angry, start  petitions and contact their local MPP's  demanding the Premier reconvene the legislature.

At a media conference this morning at Queens Park, Welland MPP Cindy Forster says they need to get back on the job after the Premier prorogued the legislature to give the Liberal party time to find his replacement.

Forster says "We can do as much work in our riding to assist people as we want, but we can't get any legilsation passed if this place is shut down."

Forster says they will also be knocking on doors and attending public events to get grassroot support for the call to return to work.
