The Niagara Falls Fire Department is investigating a fire at the America's Best Inn and Suites on Lundy's Lane.

The call came in just before eight o'clock this morning by a driver who saw smoke.

Fire Chief Lee Smith says they don't have a reason to believe the fire is suspicious at this time.

Some occupants who had to be helped out of their units by firefighters were treated on scene as a precaution, none of them had serious injuries.

The fire remains under investigation.

The fire has been put out and Lundy's Lane has been re-opened to traffic.
