Three fires in Niagara Falls under investigation

Police in Niagara Falls have made an arrest in a dumpster fire that spread to a hydro pole behind a business on Main Street and Ferry Street early yesterday morning.

The fire was put out by the Niagara Falls fire department with damages estimated at six thousand dollars.

The Casino Patrol Unit continued to investigate and as a result they have charged 49 year old Leonard Stewart of the Falls for allegedly starting the fire.

At the same time investigators are looking into a similar incident that happened on the same date in the area of Stanley Avenue and Spring Street as well as an arson at Jack's Cantina on Centre Street on November 8th 2011.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police or CrimeStoppers.
