Niagara Falls Buzzing
With all eyes on the Red Bull Crashed Ice event, Niagara Falls is buzzing.
Mayor Jim Diodati says the sport is gaining a lot of attention and so is the city of Niagara Falls.
He says with the number of people hired to build the track over the past month combined with athletes, their families and fans now converging on the Falls - it's the place to be.
It all starts Friday night, Diodati says they're closing down Victoria avenue for a free concert with the Arkells.
The major track finals are set for Saturday night at 7pm, with all the bars in the Falls open until 4am.
Diodati says the Falls is set to be "party central" this weekend.
Asked if he's gone down the track yet, Diodati laughed and said when he's first asked if he's afraid of heights before going up to see the start line - you know there's something to be worried about.
Diodati says if he were to do it - there would probably be a byelection the following week.
