Actors at Shaw Festival in Niagara on the Lake have launched a fundraiser to help a former actor who is fighting for his life after being critically injured in a Toronto apartment fire earlier this month.

Prince Amponsah is in a medically induced coma after being pulled from the fire.

The 27 year old  suffered third degree burns to over 64 percent of his body.

A fundraising page has been set up at Indiegogo.com with a goal of raising five thousand dollars, as of yesterday afternoon donors had pledged more than 8 thousand dollars.
