Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Niagara.
A disturbance is passing south of the great lakes and is bringing snowfall to much of southern Ontario.
5 centimetres of snow is expected over most places with up to 10 cm possible over Niagara, near Eastern Lake Erie and near Eastern Lake Ontario.
Most of the accumulation will occur this morning.
Snow is expected to taper off by early to mid afternoon in Toronto, by late afternoon over Niagara and Belleville, and by early evening near Kingston.
