The Fort Erie horse racing community is in mourning after a well known trainer was killed Monday in Charles Town, West Virginia.

Wayne Whalen died in a training accidnet involving a horse.

The 27 year old had been working for a Niagara based trainer in the U-S since November.

Its beleived he was killed instantly after being kicked by a horse he was loading into a training pool.
