Protest underway at the Peace Bridge

Several "Idle No More" protests are planned for today.
Protestors have gathered at the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie for a rally, and a march will take place at 1p Saturday.
The "peaceful" march will occupy one lane of traffic on the bridge.
The single lane closure and is not expected to impact traffic movements or cause border delays.
A gathering will be held at the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre following the march.
Provincial police have issued a general warning that traffic at border crossings and the 400-series highway could be interrupted by protests this weekend.
There are some major traffic traffic problems at another bridge in Ontario heading into the U-S.
O-P-P tweeted "westbound vehicles approaching the Blue Water Bridge should exit on Front Street to avoid delays - border closed"
Blue Water Bridge authorities tweeted "Bridge now closed west- and eastbound until approx. 1 pm. Westbound Hwy 402 motorists watch for traffic stoppage/backup"
The protests are in support of Attawapiskat First Nations chief Theresa Spence, who has been on a hunger strike to highlight aboriginal problems.
Prime Minister Harper will meet with her next week.
