Toronto begins public consultations on proposed downtown casino

1/9/2013

Consultations set to kick off in Toronto tonight on the possibility of bringing a casino to the city.

Five sessions in all span between Wednesday night until January 19th across the city.

The feedback will be boiled down into a report going back to City Hall which will consider the issue on March 20th.

There are concerns over the possible impact a downtown Toronto casino would have on gaming in Niagara.

According to a  report, profits at border facilities have plummeted from $800 million in 2001 to $100 million in 2011.
