The driver of a car involved in a serious collision in Niagara on the Lake in October is now facing an impaired driving charge.

The accident happened October 7th on Niagara Stone Road.

The driver of  a Honda Accord lost control, struck a ditch then a culvert which sent the car airborne before it landed on its roof in a vineyard.

Both the driver and a female passenger received serious injuries.

After an investigation police have charged the driver, 27 year old Nathalie Gonzalez of Thorold with impaired driving causing bodily harm
