An arrest has been made following a rash of break and enters in Welland.

Since the fall a number of break and enters were reported during day time hours.

On Friday three more cases were reported.

The Welland Street Crime Unit was called in and arrested a 27 year old man.

The man moved to Welland four months ago, around the same time the thefts started.

Police believe the same man is responsible for the other break and enters as well.

So far police have seized an estimated $20,000 worth of stolen property.
