The results are in from water samples of the Welland River taken from the Ministry of Environment near a mass animal gravesite at Marineland in Niagara Falls.

Ministry of Environment Spokesperson Kate Jordan tells 610 CKTB News, none of the samples affected levels of contamination in the Welland River.

However Jordan says Marineland officials, who have been voluntarily complying with the inspection, will need to hire a consultant to assess the past burial activities at the park.

The new consultant will then complete a report for the Ministry of Environment.

Marineland has declined CKTB's request for an interview.
