The Niagara Health System needs to cut $13-million dollars from it's current budget.
At a press conference Thursday afternoon NHS officials say there will be staff cuts, and parking rates will be going up, but no nurses will be laid off.
Instead, the Niagara Health System will be cancelling 12 vacant full-time positions. They'll reduce and redistrubute hours for part-time staff.
Also, parking at NHS sites will increase to $2.00 per half-four, $4.00 per hour and $8.00 maximum for 12 hours.
