Niagara Regional Police set up a RIDE program in West Niagara checking for impaired drivers.
Officers pulled over 200 vehicles in Lincoln and Beamsville Saturday.
12 drivers were asked to provide breath samples.
One driver was arrested for impaired driving, two drivers had their licence suspended , and one person was arrested for a violation of the Liquor Licence Act.
Police say impaired driving is still the leading cause of criminal deaths in Canada and destroys thousands of lives every year.
