Man arrested for assaults on Queenston Street Saturday also connected to home invasion last weekend

Police have made an arrest after a home invasion last weekend on Edmund Street in St.Catharines.
On Saturday January 12th two men forced their way into a home at 3am, threatening the homeowner with a knife and demanding cash and cell phones.
On Saturday January 19th officers responded to a series of assaults in the Queenston Street area.
While investigating, the suspect was identified as a 27 year old St. Catharines man.
He was arrested at a Collier Street home and charged with Aggravated Assault and Assault.
He is now also charged with Robbery and Unlawfully in a Dwelling House in relation to the home invasion and is currently in police custody pending a bail hearing.
The second suspect in the home invasion has not yet been arrested.
