New affordable housing in Welland
A double dose of good news for the city of Welland.
Provincial, federal and regional politicians celebrated the official opening of 25 affordable housing rental units.
The opening of the new affordable housing also brings with it 18 full time jobs to Goodwill Industries Niagara.
Welland Mayor Barry Sharpe says Goodwill Industries Niagara has expanded their presence in Welland and is making the Welland community a better place to live.
St. Catharines MP Rick Dykstra says, with the opening of Churchill Residence, seniors of Welland now have access to more stable, safe and affordable homes.
The project is supported by almost three million in funding through the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program.
