1/26/2013

A senior from Fort Erie has been arrested after two sex offences in Port Colborne involving young girls.

Officers launched an investigation back in August of 2008 when a man approached a young girl in the Salvation Army Store on Clarence Street.

Police say the man used a mirror to look underneath the young girls dress, while she was in the store.

The man was confronted by the girls' mother and he quickly exited the store.

This past July, a young girl was playing at HH Knoll Park in Port Colborne, while her mother was nearby.

The girl was using the slide, when she was grabbed and sexually assaulted by a man.

The male left riding his bicycle.

Police have now charged a 77 year old Fort Erie man.

He is charged with Sexual Assault, and Voyeurism.

He is being held in custody pending the outcome of a bail hearing in St. Catharines today.
