Police launched "Wreck Check" in Welland Saturday and found close to 20 vehicles were not fit for the road.

The NRP teamed up with the Ministry of Transportation and O-P-P for the four hour blitz.

24 vehicles and/or their trailers were pulled over.

7 had licence plates seized, 11 vehicles were taken out of service and towed, and 20 tickets were handed out.

One person was also arrested for impaired driving arrest.
