St. Catharines fire marshalls are working with Niagara police to investigate a fire in St. Catharines over the weekend.

Crews were called to a Western Hill home Saturday night.

Chief Mark Melenbacher says it was a small fire contained to the first floor; crews were able to get it under control and out within the first 10 minutes on scene.

Melenbacher estimates the damage to be around $10 000.
