Fort Erie's mayor welcoming news the Province is considering building on Niagara highways.
A letter from Transportation Minister Bob Chiarelli to a provincial study group reveals the government is considering building a highway link between the 406 and Fort Erie.
The raod would run along Netherby and connect the QEW to Highway 140.
Doug Martin says it's a first step towards building a Mid Peninsula Highway, which is something they've been calling for for years.
The province is aslo considering widening the QEW to eight lanes from Hamilton to St. Catharines.
