Lincoln County Humane Society welcomes litter of puppies

1/30/2013

The Lincoln County Humane Society has its first litter of puppies in over a year, but hopefully not for long.

Executive Director of the LCHS Kevin Strooband says the five lab-cross puppies are six weeks old and were brought to the shelter earlier this week.

He says puppies like this are rare to the shelter, and they haven't had a litter like this in over a year.

The puppies will stay at the shelter for two weeks before being put up for adoption. Potential adoptees will go through an application process and then chosen randomly among qualified candidates.

The applications will be available at their Fourth Avenue location this Friday from 9am to noon.
