Public highschools have one week to register teams for provincial level competition

Public highschools have until February 6th to let the Southern Ontario Secondary School Association know if teams will compete this winter at the provincial level.

So far no movement from teacher's unions about allowing educators to resume extra curriculars.

Ontario's Premier elect met with union leaders this week and broached the subject, but Katheleen Wynne says they failed to reach an agreement.

Niagara's public board has formed a committee to try and find a way to get extra curriculars back on track.

Hamilton's public board has taken the bold step of asking teachers if they would be willing to caoch teams this term.
