All garbage and recycling collection is cancelled for the remainder of the day due to the bad weather and heavy snowfalls.
Residents are advised to not place any materials for collection at the curb this afternoon and to bring in any materials that were not collected today.
Niagara Region anticipates that collection will resume on tomorrow (Saturday, February 9).
Residents who did not have their garbage and recycling collected today should have their materials to the curbside no later than 7 a.m. tomorrow morning for collection.
Residents are reminded that garbage and recycling bins should be visible and accessible to the collectors.
Garbage and recycling bins should not be placed in or on top of snow banks.
In some cases it may be necessary to clear an area of snow in order to safely place materials at the curbside for collection.
