Jim Bradley staying put in new Liberal cabinet

2/11/2013

It appears Ontario's environment minister will retain his title.

Sources say St. Catharines MPP Jim Bradley will remain in the same job under the new premier as Kathleen Wynne prepares to announce her cabinet. Also staying put is government house leader John Milloy, Community Safety and Correctional Services Minister Madeleine Meilleur, and Michael Chan who remains the province's Tourism Culture and Sport minister. Deb Matthews will also keep her title as Health Minister.

On Sunday, it was revealed Wynne's former rival, Charles Sousa, will be the new Finance Minister, taking over for the retiring Dwight Duncan. In Education, Laurel Broten has been booted from the portfolio, replaced by Guelph MPP Liz Sandals.  Broten remains in cabinet, however, and will be the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs.

In one of the more high profile porfolios, Toronto Centre MPP Glen Murray will be the minister of transportation and infrastructure.

Wynne won the leadership of the Liberals last month, becoming Ontario's first female premier.  She will be officially sworn in as premier Monday afternoon.
