Just hours after another careless cooking fire, and a fatal fire last week in the Garden City, St. Catharines Fire Services has announced they've installed smoke alarms in 10 properties near the deadly blaze on Davidson Street that killed one woman and her three dogs last Sunday.
Fire Services canvassed the neighbourhood of Davidson, Page and Tasker Streets and deemed 10 properties were non-compliant with the Ontario Fire Code. Fire alarms were installed for a cost of $15.00 but the home-owners were not fined for breaking fire code protocol.
