Niagara residents getting a new area code.

The move is in reponse to the increasing demand for phone numbers, particularly for wireless devices.

Starting March 25th, area code 365 will be added to the current 905/289 region.

The GTA will see a new area code (437) added as well. 

Glenn Pilley, Director of the Canadian Numbering Administrator says they expect the first numbers with the new area codes to be assigned over the coming month.
