Garneau on Liberal leadership campaign trail

2/20/2013

With the Ontario's new Liberal government firmly in place, attention turns to the federal Liberal leadership race.

Candidate Marc Garneau stopped by the CKTB studios this morning where he sat down with our Tim Denis to talk about the race.

The former astronaut says in the leadership race, personality and policy play a big role.

He's calling on fellow candidate Justin Trudeau to be more specific on what he's actually going to do.

Garneau says now is not the time for a conversation.

He says his pledge to eliminate capital gains for start up companies would help diversify Niagara's economy.

Garneau says there are young people with great ideas who can't get the money to develop their ideas into commercial products.

Also running in the leadership race, David Bertschi, Martin Cauchon, Deborah Coyne, Martha Hall Findlay, Karen McCrimmon, Joyce Murray and George Takach.
