SIU clears NRP officer

The Special Investigations Unit has cleared a police officer of an incident in Niagara Falls that left a male with a facial injury.
The S-I-U says a police officer was driving on the Niagara River Parkway on February 15th when he saw a car speeding in the opposite direction.
The officer turned his cruiser around to follow the car but a short while later, the civilian car missed a curve and went off the road and the driver was taken to hospital with a fractured facial bone.
The S-I-U says tha man was not aware he was being followed by police and the officer was not responsible for causing the man's injuries.
