Welland's NDP MPP taking up the cause of former Vertis employees in the legislature yesterday.

Cindy Forster calling on the Wynne government to make sure the laid off Stevensville workers get their rightful severance packages.

The 100 plus employees were let go last month after their U-S employer filed for bankruptcy.

Forster says the workers, many who have three decades of seniority, are being  denied severance pay to the tune of $2.7 million in total.
