An aerospace engineer has designed a tsunami survival capsule and now wants to ride it over the Falls.
Julian Sharpe says it's not a test run, but more of a demo.
Sharpe says he wants to instill a level of confidence and show people you can ride a tsunami out instead of fleeing
He says many people don't have the option of running away, and they're often the ones that get caught up.
Sharpe says they are building a range of models, some that can seat up to 10 people.
The capsules are painted orange so they could be easily spotted at sea, and have plenty of room for emergency supplies.
Sharpe says he'd like to take it over the Falls later this year but he's understanding the chances are probably zero, in which case they'll find another location
