It's not the first complaint they've gotten, and probably not the last.

Kevin Mahoney, General Counsel for Spencer Gift LLC says they do carry sexually explicit products in their stores, including the one at the Pen Centre, and have for over four decades.

This comes, after a Thorold mom complained about sexually explicit materials in the store.

She took issue with children's items in the front of the store juxtaposed with the items in back.

Mahoney says they understand not everyone shopping in the mall wants to see them, so they take care to put them in the back of the store where they can't be seen from the common areas of the mall.

He says there is a sign in the front window saying there is adult material sold inside.
