A St. Catharines man is in stable condition following a stabbing incident early this morning.

Police responded to the area of Queenston Street and Haynes Avenue just before seven o'clock after a male had called 911.

EMS and cops arrived to find the man stabbed several times.

He was transported to St. Catharines General Hospital where he remains.

Police continue to investigate the incident and are asking any witnesses to give them or CrimeStoppers a call.
