Horizon Utilities moving to provide more up to date information to customers about power outages.

The utility, which services customers in St. Catharines and Hamilton, is offering a new web based high level map of areas affected by outages.

Horizon says customers who follow them on Twitter will also receive outage notifications on a 24/7 basis.
