Word this morning Ontario premier Kathleen Wynne will announce deals with six racetracks to operate a racing season this year.
All toll, the province has reached agreements with a total of 14 tracks to replace its cancelled revenue sharing slot machine program.
The Liberals shocked the sector last year when they cancelled the 345 million dollars a year share of slot machine revenues that went to tracks.
The cancellation forced Fort Erie's race track to close its doors.
No word yet if Fort Erie is among the six that have agreed to run a race season this summer.
Wynne is expected to make the announcement during a stop at Grand River Raceway in Elora at noon today.
