NRP looking for man still wearing handcuffs

3/9/2013

Niagara Regional Police are looking for a man who may still be wearing handcuffs.

Earlier this week a man allegedly tried to shoplift power tools at the Home Depot on Morrison Street in Niagara Falls when staff managed to apprehend and handcuff the suspect.

While they waited for police he managed to pull out a knife and push one of the employees to the ground.

The suspect then fled on a bike still wearing the handcuffs.

The man is described as 5'8" and weighs around 160 lbs.

He had short brown hair to the neck, scruffy brown facial hair and rotting teeth.

He was wearing a grey long john style shirt and blue jeans.

His bike is described as a white BMX style with a crate attached to the bike.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Niagara Regional Police or CrimeStoppers.
