The fate of the annual Rose Festival Parade in Welland is up in the air.
The festival which started in 1961 is hoping the city will come up with some more cash after organizors failed to get several grants including Celebrate Ontario funding.
Festival President Jeff Ward says the city's finance committee will hold an emergency debate on the funding issue tomorrow at 3:30.
Ward says he can always depend on local business to help out but they need money now to secure bands and parade participants.
He says the June festival will probably still run but the grande parade is definitely in jeopardy.
