Welland and District Humane Society officials waiting for the results of necropcies on seven dogs found dead in a Wooded area near Dunnville.
The dogs were found late last month by a pedestrian out for a walk on Hald Dunn Townline.
Humane Society Executive Director John Greer say they contacted OPP and together police and animal welfare officers found one older dog, five two week old pups and a three month old dog.
The oldest dog was found hanging in a tree, but Greer clarifies there was no indication the dog had been purposely hung, there was no rope found at the scene.
The pups were found lying at the base of the same tree.
He expects the results of the necropcies by the end of the week which will determine how the animals died.
