Kevin Smith is taking over a Chief of Niagara Emergency Medical Services.

Not to be confused with Supervisor Dr. Kevin Smith who is leading changes within the Niagara Health System.

Smith has been in the role of deputy chief since 2008, spending his entire 21 year paramedic career in the Niagara area.

Niagara Region Chief Administrative Officer Mike Trojan says given his years of service, the transition ensure continuity within NEMS and builds on many positive and well-established relationships within the region and community partners.
