Niagara Regional Police have made an arrest in a sexual assault that dates back to a September incident.

In October of last year the NRP opened in an investigation when an adult female reported to police she had been sexually assaulted. The incident occured in her house and the male was known to the victim.

A 24 year old St Catharines man has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and is currently in custody pending a bail hearing.
