A happy ending to the story of a dog living on the lam in the Welland Canal.
1:30am Sunday Max wandered into a live trap and the Lincoln County Humane Society was able to pick him up.
Executive Director Kevin Strooband says the 18 month old dog was brought to a foster home in Toronto from a rescue in Ohio.
He escaped from what was hoped to be his forever home in Jordan through a window screen after four days.
Max has been on the loose since August.
Strooband says although he has lost a little weight, Max was doing well living in the wild.
He'll be moving back to his initial foster home in Toronto.
