If you live in Niagara Falls or Welland and you either go into labour today or you have a sick child, you will have to go to St. Catharines General for care.

Monday was the last day for obstetrics and pediatrics services at GNGH and Welland General.

Those services move temporarily to St Catharines General starting today.

Maternity and child care services will then move to the new St Catharines hospital when it opens March 24th.

The Niagara Health System says if anyone is confused about where to go or needs medical assistance call 911 and an operator will guide you.
