Rainbow Hill sentenced to Life in Prison
A judge has sentenced Rainbow Hill to life in prison for the death of two year-old Marissa Whalen.
According to Sun Media, Hill was in tears and begging the Judge Ann Tucker for mercy before being sentenced.
Marissa died after suffering major trauma in the bathroom of a Fort Erie apartment in July of 2011.
Hill pleaded guilty to second-degree murder last month. Her sister Amanda Dipota also pleaded guilty to being an accessory to murder.
Judge Tucker is also expected to sentence Dipota this afternoon.
Marissa Whalen's mother Roseanne Whalen also faces a second-degree murder charge, but has pleaded not guilty and will go to trial in 2014.
