Niagara Falls collision claims life of 33 year old woman
A collision early Sunday morning in Niagara Falls has claimed the life of a 33 year old woman.
Police say a 2002 Lincoln was travelling eastbound on Falls Avenue heading towards the Victoria Avenue off ramp when it collided with a 2009 GMC Sierra, lost control on the south edge of the roadway, and slammed into a light pole.
The driver of the Lincoln, Rie Motomitsu of Niagara Falls was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 65 year old male driver also from the falls was not injured in the collision.
The accident remains under investigation by the Niagara Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
