Trayvon Martin killing recreated in anti-gun ad
A new ad from the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence recreates the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, the Florida teen who was shot and killed by George Zimmerman.
The ad features actors portraying the two. It shows Zimmerman from behind, following Martin and talking to 9-1-1 operators. As the camera pans down, you see Zimmerman holding something behind his back. It cuts to a witness to the shooting inside a nearby house, who also calls 9-1-1.
It ends with the Zimmerman actor with hand up to police, the Martin actor dead on the ground and pans over more dead bodies of young men in hoodies, with state names next to them, representing the states that have "Stand Your Ground" Laws.
The ad uses actual audio clips from the 9-1-1 calls made that night from both Zimmerman and a witness who called in the shooring.
Zimmerman was found not guilty in the death of Martin.
