Another high angle gorge rescue
The Niagara Parks Police High Angle River Rescue Team called into action again this weekend.
Rescuers were called to the Niagara Gorge, south of the Queenston Sand Docks, around 3:15 yesterday afternoon after receiving a call about an injured teen.
Police say the teen and his friends were heading down the gorge wall when the boy slipped and fell about 20 feet, striking his head on the rocks.
The injured youth was airlifted to a Toronto hospital from the parking lot of the former elementary school in the village of Queenston.
No word on his condition.
