NRP charge two for alleged human trafficking offences
Police have arrested and charged two people for alleged human trafficking offences.
According to Niagara Regional Police, an 18 year old woman was held against her will for over a week, assaulted and forced to meet with strangers who replied to on-line advertisments for escort services.
On Friday September 6th, detectives arrested two adults.
A 23 year old man, Rubin Lindsay from Brampton is charged with forcible confinement, financial/material benefit, uttering threats, assault, trafficking, and breach of probation.
An 18 year old female, Alexandria Slack of no fixed address is charged with trafficking, financial/material benefit, and forcible confinement.
Both are being held in custody for a bail hearing.
