Police pursuit in Niagara Falls leads to the arrest of two people
An early morning Police pursuit has led to the arrest of two people in Niagara Falls.
At approximately 2 am Friday morning, the NRP observed a small black car driving erratically in the area of Stanley Avenue and Valley Way in the Falls.
After activating emergency lights and the siren the car sped off at a high rate of speed through stop signs and red light intersections before it eventually broke down on the Niagara Parkway.
21-year old Chrystal Desjarlais of Niagara Falls has been charged with Obstruct Police. Desjarlais was released from custody with a future court date.
Meantime, 33-year old Hubert Thompson from Niagara Falls has been charged with: Flight from Police, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Obstruct Police.
Thompson was held pending a bail hearing. Canada Immigration attended and determined that Thompson was in fact a Jamaican Citizen residing in Canada illegally.
