Runners across Canada participate in 33rd edition of the Terry Fox run
Runners were will be lacing up across the province today to raise money for cancer research and to honour the memory of Terry Fox.
It's the 33rd edition of the annual charity run.
Fox was forced to end his cross-country Marathon of Hope in Thunder Bay after his cancer spread to his lungs.
Premier Kathleen Wynne says she'll be joining the crowd at Wilket Creek Park in Toronto.
There are runs planned all across Niagara today, including one starting at Oakes Park in Niagara Falls, at the Port Dalhousie Legion in St. Catharines, Simcoe Park on King Street in Nigara on the Lake, Merritt Island in Welland, H. H. Knoll Park Bandshell in Port Colborne, Grimsby Peach King Centre, and Thorold Secondary School.
Registration begins at 9:30 for most locations.
