Port Colborne native mourning death of Canadian diplomat in Kenya
A Port Colborne native says her first thought was that this could have been her child.
Patty Cavisin is friends with the mother of the Canadian diplomat killed in a terrorist massacre at a shopping mall in Kenya
Diplomat Annemarie Desloges is being described as the kind of person every Canadian would want working on the front line abroad.
Cavasin says her heart is sick for Annmarie's mother, and that it's hard when something like this happens and it's someone you know.
She was one of two Canadians killed in the rampage that began Saturday.
The other Canadian killed has been identified as 59-year old Vancouver businessman Naguib Damji.
Postings on Facebook describe him as a ``great man'' who was
``full of life.''
